Elastomer Resistance List

The resistance of elastomers to certain media depends on various factors such as temperature, pressure, duration of contact, flow rate or even mechanical stress.

To assist designers, purchasers and developers in selecting a suitable rubber grade for their specific application, we have compiled the chemical resistance of various elastomers in our resistance list below. The table has been compiled on the basis of documents and experience gained in the chemical and rubber processing industries as well as publications by well-known raw material manufacturers, but makes no claim to completeness.

When selecting a suitable rubber quality, the manufacturing process to be used also plays a decisive role. You will find further explanations in our JÄGER Wiki.

In order to test the suitability of a rubber compound, it is advisable to test the vulcanizate under actual or simulated operating conditions. We offer our clients the possibility to send us a chemical sample including information on their respective application conditions. In our test laboratories we then check the resistance of your sample in various tests.

Simply enter a material or search term. Then select the appropriate term to obtain further information about the respective resistance. You can update the search term again at any time by re-entering it.
