Construction of the new corporate headquarter in Hanover has started

Work on the new building for the JÄGER Group has begun. The first foundations have been laid, and the entire completion is planned for spring 2021.

In the spring of 2019, the City of Hanover finally granted planning permission for the conversion and new construction of Lohweg in Hanover-Anderten. There, the new JÄGER company headquarters will be built on the existing building of Jäger Umwelt-Technik. In May, the construction company Muntebau GmbH was able to begin with the demolition work for parts of the existing building.

Since then, containers have also been on the site for both the construction workers and the construction management. The latter coordinates there regularly with architects and specialist planners as well as with managing director Marius-Quintus Jäger.

During the demolition, however, the construction workers came across main lines for gas, water and electricity that were marked differently in the previous owner’s plan – there were significant delays in the construction plan because the lines had to be laid.

The expansion of the production hall for Jäger Umwelt-Technik – at the back of the existing hall – could start in July 2019. The hall is scheduled to be put into operation in spring 2020. Olaf Bartmeier, Production Manager Jäger Umwelt-Technik, is looking forward to the new premises and finds the construction work on the site an “exciting new situation”. “Now the phase has begun where you can see the progress on the construction site every day – even a cup on your desk can vibrate”.

The civil engineering for the new office building began in September 2019, when the site was excavated to a depth of five meters to pour the foundations and set the basement walls.
Hans-Christian von Consbruch, Managing Director of Jäger Umwelt-Technik, follows the construction progress with great interest: “I regularly document the changes on our site with aerial photographs. Like most of us, I am of course looking forward to the day when we can move into our new offices”.
